PRonto

Less chasing previews, more reviewing work

Personal project · Quality of life tool

Builds take time, preview links sometimes show an older version, and checking whether things are ready is another small interruption. I wanted one place to find my PRs, open the right preview, and keep moving.

What I designed

PRonto is a native Mac app that automatically pulls in my open PRs labeled preview changes. I can add others manually, too. Each card gives me a clear next step: open the preview, check the build, or view the PR on GitHub.

The important part: it checks that the preview matches my latest changes before telling me it’s ready. It also remembers which notifications it’s already sent, so reopening the app doesn’t mean getting the same alerts again.

I wanted it to feel a little more human, too. Nature-inspired themes, small confirmation animations, and reminders to touch grass give an everyday utility a bit of personality.

How I built it

I built PRonto with Codex, using SwiftUI and AppKit for the native Mac experience. It connects to GitHub to find PRs and check build status, then verifies that the published preview matches the latest commit.

Settings and notification history are saved between launches, so it picks up where I left off.

The result

An estimated 10 minutes of my life back each workday. Less hunting for preview links, fewer tab switches, and less wondering whether I’m looking at my latest changes. More time reviewing the work and deciding what’s ready to merge.
